China 1885-88 Small Dragons 1894 (19 Oct.) newspaper wrapper to Edinburgh bearing, on the reverse, perf.121/2 1ca. dull green with perf.111/2 3ca. mauve (torn) tied by a large part strike of "customs/taku" triple-ring c.d.s. in red with Customs Shanghai c.d.s. alongside, sent via the French Post Office with 5c. Chine (2) cancelled by an indistinct strike of "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s.; some creasing and soiling and part of the wrapper is missing (with part of the Taku c.d.s.). Scarce.
