Hong Kong Covers and Cancellations Paquebots and Overseas Cancellations singapore: An exceptional collection on leaves with Straits Settlements dumb cork obliterators including a fine strike on wing margin 16c. yellow and others (10), Singapore "B/172" octagon (2), single and double-ring c.d.s., 1900 envelope to London bearing pair of Hong Kong 2c. green well tied by double-circle Singapore c.d.s. with straight-line "paquebot" alongside, Singapore to Hong Kong Marine Sorter type 3 on Hong Kong 30c. mauve dated 1881 (2 Sep.) (as mentioned in Webb) and on reverse of 1898 envelope from Germany to Hong Kong, type 4 c.d.s. on Singapore 1c. on 8c. and on reverse of cover from Germany to Hong Kong, both dated 1900 (12 Feb.) the earliest date recorded by Webb (carried on the P&O mailboat ´Coromandel´), 4c. on 5c. red (2); also "lloyd austriaco" overstruck by Penang c.d.s. and other faint foreign mailboat cancellations, 1862 entire from Singapore to Hong Kong and 1865 entire from Hong Kong to Paris bearing Singapore forwarding agent´s cachet plus 1863-71 4c. and 12c. tied by Bombay "B/1" octagon.
