Maritime Wreck Covers of the World Europe 1917 (13 Mar.) S.S. "Norwegian", beached off the coast of County Cork, Ireland following an explosion, U.S. 2c. envelope (additional stamps floated off) to Sweden, heavily censored with four "4860" labels and showing, on reverse, boxed Swedish cachet in violet which translates as "Damaged by water during/Transportation between New/York and England." and with Stockholm c.d.s. (24.5) alongside. A relatively recent discovery and the sole example of mail from this wreck known to Sweden. Photo Estimate £ 250-300
