Maritime Wreck Covers of the World Europe 1851 (25 Oct.) paddle steamer "Africa", grounded on rocks near Belfast in dense fog, 24 October entire from Sheffield "p "Africa"" to Philadelphia, franked solely with 1841 1d. red-brown cancelled "700" and additionally tied by "br packet/24" c.d.s. (9.11) with "19/cents" rate h.s. alongside, the reverse with Sheffield (24.10) and two different Liverpool (25.10) d.s. Photo Estimate £ 1,000-1,200Note: "Africa" returned to Liverpool for repairs. Her passengers and mails were transferred to the paddle steamer "Canada" which sailed from Liverpool on 28 October and arrived in New York on 9 November
