Maritime Wreck Covers of the World North America 1928 (Mar.) S.S. "Hermes", collided with Norwegian steamer "Modemi" in fog and sank in the Mississippi River, envelope (stamps floated off) registered from Mexico to Chicago, bearing typed label "Received in wet condition 3-13-28./This article recovered from S.S./Hermes, which sank 3-8-28.", the reverse with original embossed registration label and two U.S. Officially Sealed labels.
