"Empress of Ireland", collided with the collier "Storstadt" in the St. Lawrence River, envelope (stamp floated off) from London to Vancouver and redirected back to England, showing a fine strike of the "Recovered by divers from wreck of S.S. Empress of Ireland" cachet in blue and with Burquitlam, B.C. arrival c.d.s. (21.5) alongside, the reverse with further arrival c.d.s. and Ottawa Dead Letter Office oval d.s. (16.5).
