Uruguay British Post Office 1871 (Dec) Uruguay 5c. blue postal stationery envelope sent registered to J. B. Moens in Brussels from British PO in Montevideo, bearing Great Britain 2d. blue pl. 13 and three pairs of 1867-71 3d. rose carmine pl. 6 (unlisted used from Montevideo by SG), all tied by bold "C28" obliterators in black with straight line "registered" handstamp alongside. London transit (16 Jan 1872) on front and Brussels arrival on reverse. Few imperfections at top of envelope but a wonderful and attractive usage. S.G. Z2, Z4. Photo.
