A Uniform of the Vatican Swiss Guard A tunic, formed of quartered blue and yellow cloth, with scarlet cloth collar and cuffs, and red cotton panels to sleeves, edged with wide crimson and yellow lace, wings of yellow and blue cloth, also trimmed with lace, quilted lining of heavy white cotton, stamped 1899/146 (all buttons removed); with companion breeches (stamped as for tunic), the inside leg of blue/yellow cloth, the outer part of scarlet cotton overlaid with loose panels of blue and yellow cloth (two braces-buttons replaced by buttons of British manufacture) (2)
