Territorial Force War Medal (Sub-Lieut. N.R. Boyd. R.N.D.), very fine, scarce Estimate £ 300-350Sub-Lieutenant Noel R. Boyd; native of Edinburgh; served as a Gunner 1/1st Lowland (C.O.E.) Royal Garrison Artillery; commissioned Temporary Sub-Lieutenant Royal Naval Voluteer Reserve, 29.10.1915; posted Drake Battalion Royal Naval Division, 30.11.1916, and was wounded (gunshot wound to neck, right hand and thigh) whilst serving in the French theatre of operations, 24.4.1917; invalided to England 26.4.1917 (awarded a gratuity of £68.5s.); transferred 1st Reserve Battalion, Blandford Camp, R.N.D., 3.10.1917; and later 2nd Reserve Battalion 63rd (Royal Naval) Division.
