Teaspoons of the 1st United Provinces Horse Twelve silver teaspoons of identical pattern, two HM Sheffield 1927 and 1931, the remainder by Hamilton & Co Ltd, with Calcutta marks for various dates between 1938 and 1946 and stamped silver or sterling silver, the spoon handles with finials in the form of a mounted soldier on a plinth inscribed relief of lucknow 1857 above a scroll with the regimental title (12)

Note: The 1st United Provinces Horse, an Auxiliary Forces Unit manned by Europeans, was formed in 1904 by the amalgamation of the Light Horse units of Allahabad, Cawnpore, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur and Oudh, one of which had earned the Lucknow battle-honour during the Indian Mutiny.
