Indian Mutiny 1857-58, one clasp, Central India (Lieut. G.J. Heath, 18th N.I., S.A.C.G.), nearly extremely fine Estimate £ 380-420Lieutenant-Colonel George John Davies Heath, commissioned Second Lieutenant 38th Madras Native Infantry, 1850; Lieutenant 1853; served with the Saugor Field Division in Central India, and was present at the relief of Kirwee, the subsequent assault upon the heights of Punwarree, and the defeat of the rebels on the 29th December 1858; Sub-Assistant Commissary General 1857; Captain 1862; Deputy Assistant Commissary General, 2nd class, 1868; Major 1870; Lieutenant-Colonel 1876. Presumably ´18th´ was mistakenly impressed on the medal at the time of naming.
