King Ferdinand IV re-established at Naples 1799, copper medal after C. Küchler, 46mm., obverse, uniformed bust of Nelson left, signed CHK below truncation, reverse, ship entering the bay of Naples, Fame flying above, holding a portrait of Nelson, signed K lower right (BHM.479A; MH.494), a later striking from rusty dies, good very fine Estimate £ 120-160These later medals use a Küchler portrait of Nelson that was rejected by Matthew Boulton. This bust is also found combined with the reverse of the Boulton Trafalgar medal.
