Jeffcock, R.U.R.), good very fine; together with recipient´s 1939-45 entitlement: 1939-1945 Star; France and Germany Star; War Medal, very fine (4) Estimate £ 160-20014844216 Corporal H. Jeffcock attended Parachute Course B152, and graduated 6.2.1945 after which he was posted to 12 Para; Parachute Regiment Association records indicate that he was wounded in action during Operation Varsity - At 1000 hours, 24.3.1945, 6th Airborne Division were dropped on the east bank of the Rhine near Wesel, they were dropped on top of the enemy defensive positions, and as such suffered heavy casualties. Operation Varsity was the final airborne assault of the Second World War.
