British Yeomanry, Corps and miscellaneous Badges An assortment of badges, mostly metal, KC period ORs´ cap badges, including Westminster Dragoons, 2 x Leicestershire Yeomanry (KK 1422 & 1423), R Bucks H, QO Dorset Yeomanry (KK 1446), Loyal Suffolk H (KK 1455), QO Oxfordshire Yeomanry (KK 1462), Welsh Horse (KK 1482), East Riding Yeomanry (KK 1496), Fife & Forfar Yeomanry (KK 1474), Lovat Scouts (KK 1500), R. Gloucestershire H, Inns of Court Regt, Ayrshire Yeomanry (KK 1416), Lanarkshire Yeomanry (KK 1430), Northumberland H g/m (KK 1431), Norfolk Yeomanry (by BP & Co, Ltd, Birmingham) (KK 1477), and Essex Yeomanry (KK 1491); together with a number of mostly British corps, etc, cap and collar-badges of KC period, but containing a few buttons (including ten fine gilt Victorian buttons of the Army Pay Department), rank and trade badges, metal & cloth, including ORs´ cap-badges of RE (GviR bi-metal), AVC, MGC, Recce Corps, APC (KK 1035), RFC (lugs), AAC (2), and HAC (gun); an ASC officer´s (now with brooch fitting), RWAFF (two: one g/m with pin N-S, the other plastic with blades N/S),
specialist arm-badge g/m MG in wreath, and a printed formation-sign of a yellow palm tree on a black disc in a green square; together with three cap-badges of the Haileybury OTC (two KK 2569, one KK2570)), plus two cloth shoulder-flashes embroidered in white on red, HAILEYBURY & I.S.C./J.T.C. ; cap badges of The Boys´ Brigade (2 different), the Air Training Corps, RMA Sandhurst, RMLI, and Army Cyclist Corps, and a w/m cane top of Malvern College CC, approximately 140 items in all, including a few copies; together with some 170 foreign items of insignia, mainly metal (including a US Army officer´s good gilt cap-badge), a few cloth or embroidered, and a quantity of miscellaneous material, including a pair of shoulder-straps from a Major General´s khaki greatcoat with brass badges of rank, some British cloth rank and qualification insignia, including a Scots Guards Colour Serjeant´s gold and embroidered rank-badge for a mess jacket, Pilot´s wings and other Aircrew and parachutists´ badges; and a scrap-book containing printed illustrations of many badges c1900 - 50, including Canadian battalions, County of London battalions etc (lot)
