Richard Fielding Morrison, R.F.A. M.C. Second Award Bar London Gazette 26.7.1918 Capt. (A./Maj.) Richard Fielding Morrison, M.C., R.F.A. ´For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. Whether in command of his battery or of the brigade, or acting as infantry liaison officer, he displayed coolness and resource of a very high order. Once, when his battery came under heavy shell fire and direct hits on the teams caused some confusion, his fine example and complete command of the situation at once restored order. His courage and fine leadership were conspicuous throughout.´ Major Richard Fielding Morrison, M.C., 51st Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, Commissioned Second Lieutenant 23.7.1910; Lieutenant 23.7.1913. Went to France with 129th Battery, Royal Field Artillery, Aug.1914; served with 3rd, 7th and 9th Divisions continuously; Died of Wounds 25.4.1918, and is buried in Haringhe (Bandaghem) Military Cemetery, Belgium.
