Auction: 6021 - Great Britain Stamps & Covers
Lot: 131
x Great Britain Postal History Ireland 1799 (16 Nov.) entire letter from Dublin to the Earl of Fitzwilliam in London, the address panel with fine light strike of the large red "s/ireland", ink manuscript "1/4" (deleted) and re-inscribed "8", fascinating letter content - the writer had given credit, in the form of "Malt and Spiritous Liquor", to officers of the West Yorkshire Regiment and now realised that their promises of payment were spurious; small cover fault at top in no way detracting. Fine, clean and very attractive. Photo
