1914 Star, with Bar (L-14568 Pte. W.T. Robinson. 1/Middx:R.); 1914-15 Star (SD.978. H. Milsom, D.H., R.N.R.); Mercantile Marine War Medal (James G. Williams); Victory Medal (2) (36869 Cpl. H. Johnson. R.A.; 014135 Pte. T.A. Venner A.O.C.), generally very fine or better Pair: Private W.H. Nash, Army Veterinary Corps British War and Victory Medals (SE-26456 Pte. W.H. Nash. A.V.C.), nearly very fine (7) Estimate £ 70-90Harry Milsom, served during the Great War as a Deck Hand on H.M. Drifter Cosmos, he was present when she was patrolling the Dover Straits (the minefields between Folkestone and Cape Gris Nez) and was one of seven drifters that were sunk by the German Second T.B.D. Flotilla (under the command of Captain Heinecke) on the night of 14th/15th February 1918, he was killed in action during the attack, and is commemorated on the Royal Naval Memorial, Portsmouth.
