An Officer´s Shoulderbelt-Plate of the 5th Fusiliers An exceptionally magnificent example, as Parkyn Fig 99, the gilt backing-plate with distinctive engine-turned surface and mounted with massive grenade, the ball in fine white metal bearing battle-honours to WILHELMSTAHL and mounted with St George and Dragon in the centre, the flames of the grenade in gilt, the highlights facetted in silver.

Note: Colonel Denis Wood, the author of "The Fifth Fusiliers and its Badges", notes that the facetting on the neck of the grenade is an unusual feature.
