R.); British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. Oakleaves (Capt. G.F. Stone); Defence Medal, nearly extremely fine, together with Mentioned in Despatches Certificate, dated 7.4.1918; (3) identity tags (5) Estimate £ 800-900M.C. London Gazette 3.6.1919 T./Capt. George Fuller Stone, 14th Bn. Worc. R. M.I.D. London Gazette 23.5.1918 T./Lt. G.F. Stone. Major George Fuller Stone, M.C., served during the Great War on the Western Front 1.4.1915-12.1.1916 and 13.9.1916-11.11.1918 with the 14th (Service) Battalion (Severn Valley Pioneers) Worcestershire Regiment; Lieutenant 2.7.1917; Adjutant and Acting Captain 27.3.1918. After the War, when the Battalion was disbanded, Captain Stone carried the Colours as they were laid up in Worcester Cathedral 23.6.1919. Served in the Second World War, and Promoted Major.
