Great Britain Illustrated Envelopes 1840 and 1841 entire letters with printed interiors; the former with Prices Current, used from London to Cork dated 26 June, bearing 1840 1d. plate 1b, AL, large to enormous margins, tied by superb strike of the red Maltese Cross; the latter with very attractive, large notice advising of a public auction offering an "Important Sale of Hedgerow Timber", used from Doncaster to London dated 22 March, bearing 1840 1d. plate VIII, FK good to large margins, tied by superb strike of the black Maltese Cross with Doncaster despatch datestamp alongside; minor cover creases in no way detracting from the wonderful appearance of this very fine pair of covers.
