x Togo 1915 (May) overprinted on stamps of Gold Coast, 1d. red horizontal pair with interpanneau margin at left, variety overprint inverted with the left hand stamp showing thin "g" in "togo" [24], unused without gum. The loss of gum to this pair occured during WWII when the Chancery Lane Silver vaults, where the Marquess´s collection was stored, were bombed.
