x Nova Scotia Postmaster Arthur Woodgate´s Essay 1851, essay by Postmaster Woodgate of a Three Pence design and a proposed oval cancellation, executed in pen and ink with brown watercolour, both depicted in the margin of the file copy of his letter of April 21, 1851 addressed to the Hon. Joseph Howe, the Provincial Secretary of Nova Scotia; the two drawings have been cut out and replaced.
