Baugh, Nehal Contingent), good very fine Estimate £ 400-450General Folliot Walker Baugh, commissioned Ensign 26th Bengal Native Infantry, 1839; Lieutenant 1841; served with Major-General Sir G. Pollock´s force in Afghanistan 1842, including the actions at the forcing of the Khyber Pass, at Mamoo Khail, Jugdulluck, Tezeen and Istaliff (Medal); served throughout the Sutlej Campaign (1845-46), including the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon (entitled to medal and two clasps); Captain 1850; served in the Burmese War against the enemy near Prome, 1853 (Medal with Pegu clasp); served in the Indian Mutiny, including the action of Chinpoorah, 1858 (Brevet Major 1858; Mentioned in Colonel J.K. McCausland´s Despatch, Commanding in Kumaon, 1.3.1858; and received the thanks of the Government and the Secretary of State for India 30.11.1858); Colonel 1870; advanced Lieutenant-General 1884, retired General 1889.
