Diamond. 1st Bn 13th Regt.), edge details slightly worn, edge bruising, with two silver Regimental Merit Medals, for Seven Years, and Fourteen Years, very fine (3) Estimate £ 240-2801946 Sergeant William Rufus Diamond, born Dorking, Surrey; joined 13th Regiment 1838; Corporal 1845; served for three months during the Crimean War (1854-56); Colour Sergeant 1856; also served during the Indian Mutiny (1857-58) and was discharged in 1864 after 21 years and 93 days with the Colours.
