x ST. VINCENT 1881 (Sept.) 1/2d. Surcharge Varieties For surcharging, the sheet of 60 stamps was divided into vertical blocks of 18 stamps, comprising vertical columns 1-3, 4-6 and 7-9. The fraction bar omitted variety is on the left half of Type 12 in the surcharge forme. The variety thus occurs on Nos. 52, 55 and 58 A horizontal pair comprising two unsevered pairs, the third stamp with fraction bar omitted [58], unused with large part original gum; small light age stain at right otherwise fine.
