1867 5c Green Condor full sheet study consisting of fifteen complete unused or mint sheets of 72 plus one reconstruction formed of four fiscal canceled blocks of the original plate, fourth state when it was composed of only 67 positions, beautifully displayed on large double page exhibition pages, the full sheets start with four unused sheets of the original plate, fifth state in various shades and strength of the impression, then sheets of the first and second re-engravings, two of the later, one being on the earlier thicker paper and the other on the scarce thin paper, five sheets of the third engraving which shows first impressions to later worn impressions, and the collection concludes with three of the final fourth re-engraving that include the early impression plus first and second retouches, the exhibition pages are written up in detail identifying the changes of the plate at each stage, except for the used reconstruction and the four unused fifth state sheets, all of the sheets thereafter have original gum and many have a large portion of the stamps never hinged usually being hinged in the corners, some edge faults are present as would be expected affecting some edge and corner stamps as these sheets seldom had sheet selvage of any size larger than a normal stamp margin, overall fine-very fine and quite select; an important sheet collection of the Five Cent Green Condor issue that would be extraordinarily difficult to duplicate.
