Printed & Hand Illustrated Covers 1819 (15 Feb.) ´Dobbs Patent´ French Valentine entire letter used locally in London, the interior with ornate embossed borders and beautiful coloured ´birds nest´ concertina in the centre, the surrounds and reverse with passionate love-poem headed ´For Maria´, the address panel with black two-line Cheapside and red oval Paid timestamp of the Twopenny Post; fine and most appealing.
