Great Britain Postal History 1870 (14 Feb.) entire to "Narva, Russia" (modern day Estonia), bearing 1867-80 3d. plate 6 and 6d. plate 8 tied by fine London E.C. duplexes, the address panel with superb strikes of the blue double-ring "England Per Aachen" transit d.s. and cyrillic-script "narva" arrival c.d.s. of 8 February 1870. Fine and extremely attractive. A wonderful example of mail illustrating the use of the Gregorian calendar in Russian lands at this time. Photo
