Great Britain Postal History 1862 (17 Oct.) entire letter from Penzance to Paris, bearing 1d. ´stars´ LC 14 1d. strip of four tied by very fine "609" numeral cancellations (ME additionally tied by Calais transit c.d.s.) with red "PD" in circle adjacent, fascinating letter content with a reference to the wrecking of a French ship, the "Jeune Oscar", off the coast of Gunwalloe in Cornwall; minor faults in no way detracting.
