BNJ XLVII p.109. It corresponds almost exactly to, and was clearly struck at the same time as, the well-known ´Fine Work´ Shilling, Sharp D1/1, mintmark harp (JGB 471). The horseman on Tower Halfcrowns of type 2c is exactly the same as that on type 2a, only the design of the shield on the reverse being altered, but the lettering on the early coins is more elegant and better spaced, which may account for the existence of this specimen piece
