                        Charles I, group I, Halfcrown, 14.01g., Tower, type 1b, king in armour with sword over his shoulder, on horseback left, plumes on horse´s head and rump, no rose on housing, no groundline below, reads MAG BR FR ET HI, rev. heavily garnished square shield, large plume above, no stops on reverse, m.m. lis (JGB 282 (same rev. die); N.2203; S.2767) obverse weakly struck, porous and slightly scratched, otherwise a full round coin, fair, the reverse fine, extremely rare Estimate £   300-400PROVENANCE: B R Osborne, Glendining, 23 April 1991, lot 132  Group I Tower Halfcrowns type 1b, with a large Welsh plume above the shield on the reverse are all extremely rare coins.
