William and Mary, Halfcrown, 1693, FR over A, second, conjoined busts right, gvlielmvs.et.maria.dei.gratia, toothed border both sides, rev. inverted die axis, third type, crowned cruciform shields of arms, with Lion of Nassau as an escutcheon with sixteen lozenges at centre, date surrounding in two lines, five strings to Irish harp, tiny fleur de lis in French arms, WM monogram in angles, .mag.br.fr.et.hib.rex.et.regina., edge, inverted, .+..+.decvs.et.tvtamen..anno.regni.qinrto (cf.ESC 519; S.3436), toned with some haymarking, very fine, a clear error, presumably extremely rare Estimate £ 500-600
