William and Mary, Halfcrown, 1689, weak E in legend giving impression of an inverted F, first, conjoined busts right, gvlielmvs.et.maria.dei.gratia, toothed border both sides, rev. inverted die axis, second crowned quartered shield of arms, with Lion of Nassau as an escutcheon with eight lozenges surrounding, six strings to Irish harp, crown with caul only frosted with pearls, date either side, .mag.br.fr.et.hib.rex.et.regina., last N inverted, edge, inverted, .+..+.decvs.et.tvtamen..anno.regni.primo (ESC 509B R3; S.3435), lightly haymarked, weak at centre, with tiny rim nick, toned, very fine, recorded as very rare in English Silver Coinage, but not a true error coin, merely a weak strike Estimate £ 500-600
