Charles I, Bristol mint, Halfcrown, 15.01g., 1645, Bristol horseman walking left, Br monogram below, large Bristol plume behind, rev. declaration REL:PROT: LE:AN:LI:PA: in two lines, three plumes above, date and Br monogram below, double/single pellet stops, m.m. plume/Br monogram (JGB 989 (same obv. die); Morr. A-1; N.2492; S.3010) small flan flaws at 7 o´clock on reverse, faint scratches on horseman, otherwise very fine, very rare of this date and type Estimate £ 700-800This coin is struck from the same obverse die as lots 205 and 206 above. Only two of the eight Bristol Halfcrown types (S.3003 to S.3010) are relatively common, the others being scarce to very rare. All eight types are represented in the Colin Adams collection, lots 196 to 207.
