Charles I, Oxford mint, Halfcrown, 15.32g., 1643, ´Briot´ horseman, small squat equestrian portrait by Briot, small figure of king leaning back in saddle, holding upright sword angled forward, grassy ground below, Oxford plume behind, reads MAG BR FR ET HIB, rev. declaration RELIG:PRO:LE ANG LIBER PA in two lines, three Oxford plumes above, date below, double/single pellet stops, five pellets before EXVRGAT, m.m. Oxford plume and rosette on obverse only (JGB 902 (same obv. die); Morr.
