xMary, class I/2 mule, Angel, 4.52g., St. Michael standing slaying the dragon, annulet before MARIA, reads REGI, rev. old style ship with plain castles bearing shield and cross, M and rose at sides, riding on sea of small neat waves, annulet/pellet stops, m.m. pomegranate (c.f. Schneider 714 (same obv. die); N.1958; S.2490/2490A), on a small flan, slightly crimped, good fine, a very rare mule Estimate £ 800-1,000 The reverse mule, Mary angel class 2/1, with pellet stops on obverse and annulet stops on reverse, is only rare, c.f. Schneider 720-722. This class I/2 mule, however, appears to be unrecorded
