xEdward VI, second period, Half-sovereign, 5.38g., Southwark, young crowned bust right, with plain breast armour, reads EDWARD VI, rev. crowned oval garnished shield with E R at sides, reads SCVTVM FIDEI, small square stops/rosette stops, m.m. Y (c.f. Schneider 687; N.1911; S.2438), small edge crack at 9 o´clock, a full round coin, with a lovely portrait, and a very pleasing reddish/gold tone, good very fine Estimate £ 2,500-3,000
