xEdward IV, first reign, light coinage, Quarter-ryal, 1.89g., type VI, shield within quatrefoil, rose and sun at sides, E above, lis below, rose at end of legend, EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL, rev. rose upon a radiate sun in centre of floriated cross, trefoil/double saltire stops, m.m. sun (Schneider 395 (same dies); N.1560; S.1965), slightly off-centre, very fine for this distinctive little coin, scarce Estimate £ 300-400 Additional stops, in the form of a rose, sun or lis at the end of the legend, are a not uncommon feature on Edward IV quarter-ryals.
