Royal Bank of Scotland, 1 guinea, Edinburgh, 1 May 1827, serial number 303/628, black and white, Britannia, lion and river God top centre, crown above, value at centre, "Pay to Andrew Bogle" in text, two manuscript signatures low centre, rev. black and white, arms, allegorical figure at left and right (Douglas 25), very good, the serial numbers and signatures have been over written to make them bolder. The note comes with a letter from the Royal Bank dated 1972, stating that the note appears to be genuine. Extremely rare Estimate £ 600-800Provenance: McIntyre Collection
