xGREAT BRITAIN 1840 One Penny Black Plate VI CC-CD, CI-CJ, DA-DB and EA-EB, pairs (mostly with margins all round) used together and cancelled by black Maltese Crosses on 1841 (27 Jan.) entire letter from Overton addressed to "Wm. Tanner, Swan River, Western Australia", showing fine strike of red oval "paid ship letter/london" d.s. (22.5) and, on reverse, Bath double-arc d.s.; the adhesives with some wrinkling caused by gum constriction and a few other minor faults but still a fine and exceedingly rare item. B.P.A.
