India Collection neatly mounted and written-up in a large Yvert and Tellier album; including three pre-stamp covers to the U.K. with India Letter handstamps of Deal, Liverpool and Plymouth; 1854 range with 1/2a. Dies I (44 with an unused corner pair, four pairs and a vertical strip of three used), II (4) and III (6), 1a. Dies I (5), II (7, one on entire) and III (3 with a pair), 2a. (11), 4a. 2nd. (2), 4th. (2) and 5th. (watermark reversed) Printings (all cut square and fine) and a few others cut-to-shape; 1855-64 range with a few covers; 1866 6a. with tall "postage" (2); 1866-76 range with 1865 1/2a. mint block of twelve and a range of covers; 1882-97 values to 5r. mint and used; 1902-11 set to 15r. mint and to 25r. used (Calcutta Treasury c.d.s. in violet); 1911-22 and 1926-33 sets mint and used (no 1926-33 15r.), and a range of later issues to 1946; Officials with 1866 4a. and 8a. used (8a. cancellation not guaranteed), 1912-13 set mint, 1925 Provisionals with a couple with overprint double and some later issues; Postal Service overprints; C.E.F. with unissued 11/2a. mint, and I.E.F. range with a few covers, together with a stockbook and stockleaves, etc. with additional selections of cancellations and a few Used Abroad covers including 1874 cover from Mahe to Bordeaux franked at 38a. Also four books including Stamps of India and Early Indian cancellations by Jal Cooper. Generally good to fine for a collection of this nature and well worth careful examination.
