Officer´s envelope to Ireland, headed "On Active Service in the Gold Coast Hinterland - no stamps available, Bona 30.1.98", showing blue crayon "5d", fine "kumasi/gold coast" double-ring d.s. (14.2), circular-framed "T", handstruck "2d/466" with manuscript "1/2" alongside, "liverpool/br. packet" c.d.s. and, on reverse, Cape Coast and arrival datestamps; the envelope with large piece of flap torn away.
