x BAHAMAS Covers and Cancellations misdirected and redirected mail: 1865 (Jan.) envelopes (2) from Scotland, the first to a passenger on board the steamer Hellen Denny bearing 1862-64 1/- with Glasgow duplex, the second to Nassau Post Office "till called for" bearing 1862-64 3d. and 9d. sharing Paisley duplex and with manuscript "Unclaimed" alongside, both showing handstruck "1" in red and with Nassau New Providence c.d.s. on reverse; both with a number of faults though an unusual pair; 1912 (June) envelope from Nassau to Florida, franked at 1d. and showing arrival duplex, "advertised" single-ring handstamp (X1), "unclaimed" (2) and "hand" "returned to writer" cachets, the reverse with Nassau (14.8) c.d.s. and two further U.S. datestamps; a little soiled in places though an unusual item Estimate £ 120-150
