United States of America 1888 5c. indigo (a block of four, three pairs and three singles) tied by oval datestamps to 1891 (17 Mar.) registered envelope from Cleveland Ohio via New York to Germany, the front showing clear strike of violet "registered" h.s. and manuscript sender´s mark, four stamps overlaid by red New York registration label, with transit and arrival marks on reverse; slight overall toning affecting the stamps, otherwise scarce.
