Albania 1913-c.1960, a valuable and extensive holding housed in a small box, including a fine range of 1913 double-headed eagle overprints with values to 50pi. (oily impression; A. Diena certificate), also varieties of colour, inverted overprints, covers and cards (some non-philatelic) mostly initialled by Alberto Diena; posthumous and forged handstamps have been identified as such. Later issues are replet with good sections of the 1913 circular handstamped issue with type-written values, 1913 (Nov.) Independence Anniversary, 1914 Prince William of Wied issues, 1914-16 Provisional Government, 1916-18 Koritza, 1918-20 Provisional Government and 1920-25 Regency Period with a smattering of covers throughout. The Republic 1925-28, Kingdom 1928-39, WWII Italian and German Occupation issues are well represented, as are the People´s republic issues to c.1960. Viewing of the remarkable assembly is recommended, however, please note due to lack of up-to-date expertisation of the many contentious items contained in this lot, it is necessarily offered strictly "caveat emptor" and therefore not subject to return on any grounds.
