Henry VI, second reign, Groat, 2.97g., London, m.m. cross pattée/lis, trefoil stops, reads HENRIC, (BW 3/1; S.2082; N.1617) edge slightly ragged at 12 o ´clock, otherwise good fine, a very rare combination of mintmarks Estimate £ 200-250Mintmark lis is the diagnostic mark for York at this period but, for unknown reasons, it is very occasionaly found as reverse mintmark on Henry VI restored Groats of London. It is usually muled with a restoration cross mark on the obverse, the only other example of this cross pattee/lis comibination to be offered since 1960 was the R Carylon-Britton coin, Seaby´s Coin and Medal Bulletin, January 1964, no. 2051
