C of EBORACI over S, (BW VII b var.; S.2012; N.1583); (ii) 2.82g., mm. lis, similar to last but trefoil after CIVI/TAS, (BW VII, b/c) the first lightly double struck on obverse, toned, on a full flan, almost very fine, the second almost fine (2) Estimate £ 120-150The phonetic spelling error SIVITAS for CIVITAS is not unusual on medieval Groats but we have not previously noted the error EBORASI for EBORACI(!)
