Henry VI, Groats (2), Calais, rosette-mascle coinage, (i) 3.73g., crosses II/V, mascles in two spandrels, rev. rosettes after SIE and POSVI, (Whitton 16a; S.1860; N. 1446); (ii) 3.65g., a second specimen, as last, but with, in addition, a mascle before LA, (Whitton 16b; S.1860; N.1446) the first on a small flan, toned, the second lightly pitted in legends, otherwise both almost very fine, scarce (2) Estimate £ 100-120PROVENANCE: (i) R.
