A Victorian Lord Chancellor´s Purse An exceptionally rare and magnificent bag, 19 in. deep, of crimson velvet bound with gold lace, the face richly decorated with the Royal Arms (post 1837) surrounded by a border of cherubs´ heads etc., all embroidered in deep relief in gold, silver and colours, and with four massive tassels, worked in crimson and gold, attached to the purse.
