An Insignia of Europe Cartouche No 336 of a limited edition of 900, made to commemorate the entry of the United Kingdom into Europe in January 1973. An oval silver shield (HM London 1973), surmounted by a winged cherub and mounted with four crosses and IX surrounded by medallions respectively bearing the insignia of the then member states (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands and UK) all in gilt metal, the shield 131/2in. x 81/4in. overall, on its blue velvet backing, in original box with relevant documentation Estimate £ 100-150
